“Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.” — Psalm 66:16 (NIV)
After God rescues you—really rescues you—from the mess, from yourself, from the spiraling thoughts or near-destruction of everything you hold dear…
The last thing you want to do is tell the world how close you came to losing it all.
You think, “Let me just be forgiven quietly. Let me just serve You without dragging that mess into the light.”
And for a time, God honors that.
He comforts. He covers. He lets you heal. You don't owe anyone your story.
Not yet.But one day… you hear it again.
That holy nudge:“It’s time.”
You cringe. Your stomach flips.
You think, God, do I have to tell them everything? And He answers gently:
“No. Just enough to show them where I met you.
Enough to bring Me glory.”Testimony isn’t about exposing your shame.
It’s about lifting the veil and saying,
“This is who I was. But this is who He is.”You don’t have to detail the depths unless He calls you to.
You just have to be willing to say:
“I’ve been there. But He didn’t leave me there. And I want you to know the same freedom.”Testimony is sitting at the table like one of the sinners Jesus welcomed—
and waving others over, saying, “Pull up a chair. There’s grace here.”
🙏 Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for pulling me from the pit.
Thank You for never being ashamed of me, even when I was ashamed of myself. When the time is right, give me the words, the courage, and the wisdom to share my story—
Not to relive the past, but to reveal Your power.Let my testimony be a light that leads others to Your table.
Amen.
