“For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29 (NIV)
There’s a certain kind of grief that comes from believing you’ve buried your gift. Maybe it once felt alive—singing, speaking, creating, leading—but over time, it faded.
Life happened. Insecurity crept in. Doors closed. You told yourself it wasn’t needed anymore. Or maybe someone else told you—and you believed them.
So, you tucked it away.
Tried to forget.
Tried to move on.But here’s the thing about a gift from God: It doesn’t disappear.
Even when you stop using it.
Even when you stop believing in it.It waits—quietly—until the day you’re ready to place it back in His hands.
Maybe you’ve felt that nudge lately.
The whisper that says:“Write again.”
“Sing again.”
“Use your voice, not to impress, but to bless.”Maybe it doesn’t look like it used to. Maybe it’s been reshaped by years of waiting, pain, growth, and healing.
That’s not loss—that’s refinement.Sometimes God lets us lay things down—not because they’re gone forever, but because He’s preparing to use them differently.
And sometimes—without realizing it—we never stopped using them at all.
The voice you thought you lost might’ve simply been learning a new language. The stories you told in medical reports… the way you painted a scene to make someone feel something…
That was God, still moving through you.He never forgot the gift. He never revoked the calling.
He’s just been preparing your heart to carry it with purpose. So, if you’ve been afraid to pick it back up—if you’ve questioned whether it’s too late, or if it even matters anymore—hear this:
God wasn’t finished with your voice.
He’s just getting started.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord,
I thought I lost it. The voice You gave me, the creativity You planted—I buried it in fear and distraction. But You never left. You’ve been shaping my heart, teaching me, and preparing me—even in the seasons when I didn’t understand.
Today, I give You my voice again.
Use it for Your glory.
Amen.
